Does props.to replace one on ones?
No. Props.to is a companion to your one on ones, never a replacement. It captures feedback while it's fresh, so the conversation has something real to work with. Even the escalation path starts with a face-to-face talk.
What happens to my feedback when I change jobs?
You keep it. Feedback about you lives in your personal account. When you leave a company, sign in with your personal email and everything you received is still there, ready to grow at your next job.
What are values, levels and escalation?
Optional layers a company can turn on. Values let people tag feedback with what the company cares about, levels show what's expected at each career step, and the escalation path documents a fair, visible process when something needs to change.
Can I use props.to for free?
Yes. Personal use is free forever, and the code is open source if you host it yourself. Hosted company features are free for 3 months during the pilot, then US$4 per member a month. Owners and admins are free.
Can I self-host props.to?
Definitely! Props.to is fully self-hostable, giving you complete control over your data and deployment. Everyone will still have to connect to a personal account in props.to to retain their feedback.
Can I use props.to in both public and private projects?
Of course! Props.to works great for open source, internal tools, or any project where feedback matters, which is almost everywhere if not everywhere!
Can I link feedback from my self-hosted instance to my personal props.to account?
That's the whole point! You can link feedback from your self-hosted instance to your personal account, so you keep your received feedback in a single place, from wherever it came.
How do I manage feedback across multiple projects?
Props.to is designed to help you organize feedback across teams and projects with ease. You can create different feedback prompts for each project.
Do you offer priority support or hosting services?
Yes we do! While the core project is free, we offer optional premium services for teams that need enterprise support.
